There is a new tool available that could add some spontaneity to your blog.  It may even possibly help you get started on a post. Plinky is a new service that gives you prompts to which you get to give your individual answers.  Some of them are funny, while others are serious.  Still others are random.

What’s Plinky?

Plinky makes it easy for you to create inspired content. Every day we provide a prompt (i.e. a question or challenge) and you answer. We make it simple to add rich media and share your answers on Facebook, Twitter and blogs. (from Plinky.com)

You may be wondering how this applies to CBT.

  1. It allows you to share your life with others (makes you real to your readers).
  2. It opens doors to get to know others.
  3. It is fun.
  4. It could inspire future posts (you may want to re-write the question and create a meaningful post from it).

I am still in the process of getting to know Plinky.  I would be interested to hear your thoughts on it.  If you find it useful, integrate with your blog and Facebook and see how your readers respond.

Have fun Paula! I’m still getting used to Plinky too. Basically, it is a new writing prompt each day to help writers get past “writer’s block.” Hopefully it will help you in your generative thinking and creativity. Sometimes, Plinky just makes me laugh. Even if you don’t use Plinky for your blog, maybe it will spark some other fresh ideas that will bless you and your readers. I also think that reading others responses to the prompts helps us understand the world around us a little better. Thanks for the comment!
